  1. Do yourselves a favor and download this show!! I could be biased because I was there but I've listen to almost all the shows from the last 3 month, and they were pretty much all great, but this one was my favorite. Jake was really feeling it, and even the more mundane stuff (if there is such a thing in an Umphrey's song, lol) had a little extra heat to em. The first set was really good, with Kula being a special little treat (they only play it about once a year, but for the life of me I can't figure out why. It's an excellent 5 minutes of rock and roll). But the second set is where they bring the fire. Starts out with a real funky, spaced out Booth Love, then progresses into their dub version of Breathe, which is always welcome. They've always done justice to their Floyd covers, and this was no exception. Then the song ends for all intents and purposes and they launch into a "Jimmy Stewart" that was effectively a Jake guitar solo. It's listed as being a part of Breathe, but when you listen to it you'll find that it really is a separate piece of music. And what a beautiful piece of music it is. Super melodic, soaring guitar work. Gorgeous. They follow with an inspired Haji that end with some seriously scorching guitar (you'll find this to be a recurring theme). Excellent All in Time>Dump City>All in Time. I even dug the set closing Gulf Stream, which I can sometimes take or leave. The lyrics can be a bit hippy dippy for me, but the melody and beautiful guitar work in this version more than make up for what it lacks in lyrical content.
