ReplyDeleteBest shows of the summer IMHO. Hands down. No question. A few missed changes and some botched notes here and there, but nothing so bad I can't get past it. Love what they did with Coil. Does anyone know if that was the first time they played that arrangement? I don't think I've ever heard it before, but won't claim to have listen to every Coil they've ever done (or even ever one they've played in the last few years).
ReplyDeleteI'm referring to Mike taking the solo at the end as opposed to Page. I've always loved Page's piano solo at the end of Coil. I must have listened to the one on A Live One over 100 times when it first came out. I thought Mike kept with the general structure and themes in it quite well for it being a piece written for piano.
