Lots of recent love for Garaj Mahal. Major kudos to you for posting these, Jooge. The original lineup of Haque, Eckhardt, Hertz, and Levy was indeed a musical force, highlighted but not overshadowed by the virtuosity of Fareed and the genius of Kai; it is said when Eric Levy is your "weakest link".
ReplyDeleteI was fortunate to get to know them well, and each of them are as amazing as humans as they are musicians. No stories here, but for those who are late to the party, I would highly recommend getting and sharing with as many people the offerings that Jooge has posted; all three Live Volumes are solid...if only I could find my Live at Winston's and a few other live releases from the band to share...I will be looking in my free time for potential interest, Jooge.
